What phrases are used in science writing?
Science writing is an odd, and rather formal, subset of writing in any language. There is specific vocabulary for any subject - that isn't what this is about particularly, although some of those words will slip in. This page is rather about the verbs and phrases to make it sound like good science writing. Rather than "I did the experiment" you have "This experiment was conducted to determine..." for example.
